Beach Psychosis

I was walking down the beach in Santa Barbara, California.
I felt a complex combination of nostalgia, hopefulness, and inner calm.
I took multiple photos, trying to capture how I felt with them. But I knew they wouldn’t be enough. So I took this voice memo, too:
But the audio of the setting doesn’t capture exactly how you feel in a given moment. So I sat down, and got out my computer.
And then I made you this song:
My sister took the polaroid and photograph that became the album cover. I photoshopped out the thumb that was holding it up.
